It is the fourth most populous city in Japan after Yokohama, Osaka and Nagoya.

It is one of the best tourist destinations in Japan. At the "Sapporo Snow Festival" to be held in February, a number of statues made of snow will be exhibited at Odori Park in the centre, and 2 million tourists from all over Japan and overseas will visit.

Odori Park
Odori Park is an oasis within an office district surrounded by about 4,700 trees of 92 species. In February each year, the Sapporo Snow Festival is held and attracts as many as 2 million tourists from Japan and abroad.

Susukino
Susukino is about a 10-minute walk from Odori Park and is one of Japan's leading entertainment districts alongside Kabukicho in Tokyo. There are more than 4000 shops such as restaurants, entertainment facilities, and commercial facilities, but it is famous for its security so that it is safe for women to drink alone. Whisky lovers can taste rare whiskies at the Nikka bar.
Maruyama / Miyanomori
This area is one of the most luxurious residential areas in Sapporo.
The Maruyama district is adjacent to the Odori Park district and is a popular residential area due to its convenient transportation and proximity to urban areas. Miyanomori is an area where single-family luxury homes are built.
Forest of Art
Here, you can experience the nature and art of Hokkaido through museums, workshops, cafes, lodges, etc. on a vast land of 36 hectares. Music concerts and events are held at the open-air museum, and it is also a source of cultural arts.
